Contracts
BlackFire Studios will be happy to email, fax or mail you our contract for your review. Contracts must be signed before work begins and spell out all the responsibilities of both parties including turnaround times, payment schedules and deliverables. No surprises here!
Quotes
Quotes can certainly be given ahead of the project, just ask! That includes printing and hosting prices as well!.
Hourly Rates
BlackFire Studios charges $65 an hour for all services. This includes print design, web design, content development, site maintenance, requested changes, etc.
Printers, Hostings & Advertising- Oh My!
We do not host our designed sites, and we do not up-charge printing. This means that we keep a watch on sales and promotions for our customers and run quotes for media from places we know and trust. If you find a cheaper rate for advertising, hosting or printing, we'll look into it for you and make sure it will work. We offer our customers the choice of having the finished files delivered to them, or placing their orders for them.

We hold regular business hours. Yes, we mean it; so, no, you won't be waking us up at 10:30 a.m. like your last designer.
We love to help. Doing research and getting creative on ways to save you money and get the most out of your design projects is just good karma. You being happy makes us happy, and you screaming your happiness from the rooftops makes us even happier.
We will not include our "by line" on your designs or web site without your permission. Sometimes plastering "Designed by BlackFire Studios" across your materials isn't what you had in mind. We don't ASSUME you want to spend your tight marketing budget advertising for us. But we do offer discounts to clients who will let us drop a moderate sized byline in a completely tasteful corner. We will also help you find other businesses to share printing costs with you if you are open to working double-sided and cross-promoting.

Let's get connected- it doesn't matter where you are in the process between dreaming and quotes!
Get the most out of your first meeting
Ready for your homework?
Bring examples- stuff you like, stuff you hate, even color swatches are a great tool to get on the same "visual" page.
Compose a strengths and weakness list about your business in comparison to your competitors. This will give us a clear idea of what to promote and how.
Come up with a short term and long term marketing plan, and talk in specifics when it comes to dollar amounts- you want to be able to get how many brochures for under $400? Do you want to spend $200 a month on advertising or $2000 a month? Examples of your budget will help craft printing and media expenses and allow us to design a plan for you that you won't be surprised at.
Request a copy of our contract prior to our first meeting. This will give you a chance to review and sign so work can begin immediately following our meeting while ideas are still fresh!
